PRESCHOOL STORYTIME
Exciting stories, crafts, and fun activities for children age 3 and older. Parents are welcome to stay with the children during storytime. NO Registration Required.

Second Saturday 10 am-12 noon
SEW-BE-IT QUILTERS

Join our group every second Saturday of the month. Bring a current project or work on the group quilt. All levels of experience welcome. Contact the library for details. 

 
Every other Tuesday 7-9pm
THE KNITTING CIRCLE
Come practice your stitches or work on a project. The knitting circle will meet every other Tuesday; call the library for current dates. Bring your needles, yarn and an enthusiasm for fun! Teens and adults are welcome. All levels of knitting experience welcome.

Monday Mornings: April 7th & May 5th 11am
SCIENCE AND MATH STORY TIME
Children ages 3 and older will listen to a story related to a math or science concept. Children will then get a chance to experiment with activities to understand and explore the concept. All materials will be supplied.
Registration Required..

NEW! Baby Storytime - Babies age 6-24 months and their caregivers are welcome to join us for songs, movement, rhymes and play. Registration starts March 13th for program (Thursdays, May 1st - May 29th 11:00am)

Tax Preparation with the Delaware EITC Campaign

The DE Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Campaign promotes awareness of the federal Earned Income Tax Credit and offers free e-file tax preparation to eligible residents in Delaware. EITC also offers free savings accounts, access to financial education, Individual Development Accounts and an array of other programs. In person sign-up only. Call the library for details.

ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP

Teen Volunteer Presentation

A representative from the Delaware State Office of Volunteerism will present information to help young volunteers find opportunities that match their interests and explain the requirements of the Delaware Volunteer Credit and the President’s Volunteer Service Awards.

Lois Young and Friends

Let’s celebrate National Library Week with Lois Young & Friends! A magical blend of irresistible original songs, puppets and musical stories with audience participation. A great program for the whole family! No registration required.

Saving Family Treasures


Family heirlooms such as photos, journals, letters and other documents are often neglected. They are important for they tell us about the past and help us to connect generations. This presentation introduces caretakers to simple ways of preserving family heirlooms, documents and photos. Registration required.

The New Castle County Southern Regional Library is scheduled for construction. Ask your local legislator or council person about it!
